Created by RBS, RugbyForce is a community initiative that supports local rugby clubs in building for their future.
RugbyForce is run through our regional brands - as Ulster Bank RugbyForce in Ireland, Royal Bank RugbyForce in Scotland and NatWest RugbyForce in Wales and England - in conjunction with the relevant unions.
Since the initiative was launched in 2009, we have helped over 2,000 community rugby clubs by providing them with tools to help coordinate a community-wide effort to improve their facilities and financial support. The initiative now also combines a club education programme which provides advice and tips to assist them in becoming more financially viable and sustainable small businesses.
Building on the growth in the game in 2015, this year will see the initiative focus on developing a legacy and increasing the sustainability of those clubs who join RugbyForce.
NatWest RugbyForce - England
Last year's NatWest RugbyForce programme was a huge success, with over 600 clubs and 21,000 volunteers across England taking part in the DIY weekend in June.
Rugby clubs across the country can now register to be part of the NatWest RugbyForce programme by visiting www.englandrugby.com/natwestrugbyforce. Registration is open until 14th February 2016. To register clubs must explain in words what they would like to do with the funding, how the project can help your club improve, and describe how your club will use NatWest RugbyForce weekend to involve your local community and attract new members.
200 clubs that register before 14th February 2016 will have the opportunity to take part in free workshops across the country, as well as being in with a chance of receiving financial support and mentoring from key England Rugby figures.
