Inghilterra - Irlanda poteva essere la partita decisiva di questo RBS 6 Nazioni, ma entrambe giocheranno solo per l' orgoglio questo sabato.
Sia gli inglesi che gli irlandesi, non hanno giocato un bel rugby durante le sei settimane, e la pressione e tutta per Brian Ashton ed Eddie O’sullivan.
La pessima partita giocata dai leoni inglesi contro la Scozia in Edimburgo la scorsa settimana ha distrutto , le spernze di Ashton e compagni di vincere il RBS 6 Nazioni, che tr’altro non si agguidicano dal 2003.
Comunque anche l’Irlanda viene da un pessimo torneo, e le sconfitte contro la Francia ed il Galles, hanno confermato tutti gli aspetti negativi gia' visti nella Coppa Del Mondo in Francia.
Anche dopo la sconfitta patita al Murrayfield, Ashton ha cambiato solo un giocatore, ma da sottolineare che il giocatore in persona e' il grande Jonny Wilkinson che lascera' il posto a Danny Cipriani.
Wilkinson ha pagato a caro prezzo il fatto di essere stato trioppo inconsistente in questo torneo, e cosi la stella del Newcastle partira' dalla panchina.
