Bennett non si distingue lungo tutto il campo come Rees ma è un opzione di grande affidabilità lungo il lineout. Il fatto che giochi con il seconda linea Alun Wyn Jones e con Ian Gough a livello regionale potrebbe aiutarlo a diventare la prima scelta, anche se quella che allora era il lineout del Liberty Stadium non ha certo brillato per organizzazione. Ha saltato la campagna autunnale a causa di un infortunio.
