For Scotland, their winless run continues after a third match in four in this campaign in which they failed to score a point but head coach Karen Findlay will take heart from the fact that they pushed Wales all the way and remained in the match until the closing stages.
Victory for Wales took them one step closer to sealing a place in next year's World Cup, and moved up to fourth place in the table, above Italy on points difference.
It was completed a clean sweep for Wales, who saw their Under-20s side defeat their Scottish counterparts on Friday before the seniors followed them up at Murrayfield on Saturday.
In a cagey first half, Wales took the lead on 27 minutes thanks to Laura Prosser's penalty but in torrential weather and the driving snow there were no more scores before the half-time interval.
Scotland stubbornly stayed in the match in the second half, refusing their opponents the score that would provide some breathing space, until the 71st minute when replacement winger Murray dotted down.
And six minutes later Harries was on hand to put the finishing touches to a hard-fought win for Rhys Edwards' side.
