Flanker Sinead Ryan scored a late try as Ireland Women completed their RBS 6 Nations campaign with a comprehensive 15-3 victory over Scotland.
Ryan finished the job early on for the girls in green after wing Nora Stapleton had set them on their way to victory.
A Nicola Halfpenny penalty was all that Scotland had to show for their efforts at Ashbourne RFC.
Ireland were led out by centre Joanne O'Sullivan - picking up her 50th cap for the country - in wet and windy conditions.
The first half was more of a war of attrition as neither side looked comfortable running the ball in the terrible weather
Scotland had the first chance to put points on the board when Halfpenny had a shot at goal after a half-an-hour but her effort sailed wide.
Ireland heeded that warning though and charged into the Scottish 22 for the first time in the match with a nice break from out-half Helen Brosnan helping to set up Niamh Briggs for a first penalty effort to give the Irish a 3-0 lead.
Scotland replied as full-back Halfpenny split the posts to level the game going into the half-time interval.
But the Irish were a different side after the interval and, when Scotland failed to clear their lines,
Briggs fed Stapleton who touched down for 8-3.
Ireland continued to pressure the Scots and it paid off as Ryan crashed over for another try and Briggs hit the conversion.
