(all stats from 1992 onwards)
Date of Birth:25th Jul 1974
Position:Wing
Height:1.88 m (6' 2")
Weight:102 kg (16 st 2 lb)

Thomas is the heartbeat of the Wales side. He lost the captaincy largely because head coach Gareth Jenkins wanted his right-hand man nearer to home than Toulouse. Thomas will return to play his club rugby in Wales next season. He took over as captain of the 2005 Lions after Brian O'Driscoll was injured. Thomas missed the second half of Wales' Grand Slam campaign after breaking his hand. And last year he suffered a dramatic "mini-stroke" midway through the campaign, which ended his season. Thomas can play at full-back, on the wing or at centre.
