Goode warns England against complacency

Full-back Alex Goode has urged his England teammates to keep their feet on the ground ahead of the next RBS 6 Nations clash against France - or risk losing their unbeaten start.
Victories against Scotland and Ireland have given the Red Rose the best possible opening to their championship, and following the autumn international toppling of New Zealand spirit couldn’t be higher according to Goode.

But the 24-year-old says all that could quickly disappear with a loss against les Bleus, who have started the RBS 6 Nations with successive losses.

Twickenham plays host to the game on February 23, and while excited by the prospect of building on their winning run Goode has called for a professional build up.

“The moment we get too big for ourselves we are in trouble. It is all about the next time we meet up,” he said,

“It was great beating New Zealand but we need to take that self belief and move forward. We're under no illusions about France.

“They can do anything and have got world-class players. They have not become bad overnight.

“We're moving in the right direction and we are young. We keep building towards 2015, but not getting ahead of ourselves.”
