Jones started against Argentina, Tonga and Australia and appeared in his first RBS 6 Nations encounter from the bench against Italy before featuring in Wales' next four matches.
He made his first start as they ended their 2014 campaign with a record defeat of Scotland and has since returned to club action with Scarlets.
Wales travel to South Africa this summer and Jones insists he feels an ever increasingly different player thanks to his first RBS 6 Nations outing.
"I really enjoyed the RBS 6 Nations as a whole. It was a good experience, getting that exposure," Jones told the South Wales Evening Post. "I think I've improved a lot in recent weeks, just through game-time and getting the chance to play.
"Scotland was a massive confidence booster for me, a big opportunity to show and prove what I can do. I think it went quite well and I was quite happy. My aim now is to keep on improving.
"Being a young player, I just want to keep getting better. You do that by playing games."
