The Cardiff prop has been at his very best this season with his high work-rate being supplemented by his destructive tackling ability. He is a purposeful ball carrier and has matured greatly following his one-off game as captain against South Africa in 2007. His Heineken Cup displays for Cardiff have been magnificent and he is right in the frame for a Lions place.
