The former Lions flanker gave a six-month contract to Heriot's winger Marc Teague last week, indicating his eagerness to offer an opportunity at professional level to talented players in the club scene.
Robinson welcomed the latest arrival to his squad - which now contains 41 players - but stressed Teague still has plenty to prove.
"Marc has impressed me with his enthusiasm, attitude and professionalism since he started training with the team in pre-season," said the former England coach.
"But he has only signed a contract for six months and we will see how he develops over that period of time. Our 41-man squad now has only two non-Scottish qualified players, which is very pleasing."
