Bennett back to boost Scotland Under-20s
5 March 2013, 4:43 pm
By Sportsbeat
Scotland Under-20s' RBS 6 Nations hopes have been given a major boost as centre Mark Bennett returns to the side to face Wales in Inverness on Friday.
Bennett returns from PRO12 duties to reclaim the No.12 jersey while hooker Russell Anderson has also recovered from injury to rejoin Sean Lineen’s side.

But Lineen has been forced to replace scrum-half Sam Hidalgo-Clyne who suffered a leg injury in their victory against Ireland two weeks ago.

As a result, Ali Price starts at scrum-half and Leicester Tigers half-back Scott Steele, comes in on the bench.

Also, making his first start of the tournament is prop Shawn Muir. Finally, Caledonia’s Cameron Turner returns on the bench.

Lineen said: “Friday’s game is going to be a big challenge, but this group of players currently has momentum and belief and they are desperate to do well.

“This is a chance to measure ourselves against the only unbeaten team in the 6 Nations so far, and they are also in our Junior World Championship pool.

“Wales have a big set-piece and they are talented ball players. It’s imperative that we’re disciplined and focused on Friday.

“We’re looking forward to the trip to Inverness and hope we’ll have a big support behind us.”
