Mapletoft has shuffled his squad for the last game with Jonny May coming in at centre and Marcus Watson replacing Sam Smith on the wing.

Jamie Gibson switches to No. 8 with Newcastle's Will Welch coming in at flanker while Leeds Carnegie's Jacob Rowan will lead the team.

Mapletoft said: "This is a good chance for the whole squad to end the tour on a high.

"Personally I've never won a final game in the three years that I've been involved with England Under20s, so that goes for the management team as well.

"It's a great opportunity for all of us involved to finish the tournament on a positive note."

Wales coach Phil Davies has also rung the changes, eight in all, for the seventh/eighth place play-off clash with Fiji.

Wales beat Fiji 31-3 in the group stages with full-back Dan Fish and winger Kristian Phillips maintaining their record of starting every game.

"The players are keen to finish the tournament on a high and that means a win against Fiji," said Davies.

"Having already played, and beaten Fiji once in the tournament, we know each other's capabilities but we will back ourselves to deliver a performance and a result."

Scotland coach Eamon John has made only three changes for the ninth-place play-off game with RBS 6 Nations opponents Ireland.

Wingers Michael Tait and Callum MacBurnie replace Oliver Grove and Dougie Fife while Michael Fedo comes in for Robert McAlpince in the back row.

Meanwhile Ireland boss Allen Clarke has made five alterations to his starting XV with Eoin Griffin, Nevin Spence and John Cooney returning in the backs.

In the pack there are recalls for second row David O'Callaghan and flanker Dominic Ryan.
