Star Scotland scrum-half Mike Blair is back in the Edinburgh side for the penultimate match of their Magners League season against Ospreys.

The in-form half-back, who took over the Scotland captaincy during the 2008 RBS 6 Nations in the absence of regular skipper Jason White, missed the win over Leinster after suffering a head knock.

Prop Geoff Cross makes his first start since January while there are also returns for Calum MacCrae, Andrew Turnbull, and Andrew Maxwell in the backs.

Ross Rennie, who made his debut in the RBS 6 Nations game against Ireland, is missing from the back row due to a knee injury.

Edinburgh are in fourth place in the table - one place higher than their best finish and Andy Robinson's men are seeking to add to their back-to-back wins over Glasgow and Leinster.

Blair said: “There is still so much left to play for because Edinburgh can achieve our best-ever finish to a Magners League season.

“The mood in the squad is very positive after the win against Leinster and we are determined to finish the season with a flourish.”

Scotland winger Nikki Walker is still missing from the Ospreys line-up.
