Welcome to RBS RugbyForce, an exciting club initiative designed to unite rugby club members and volunteers across the country.

Click Here to Register your ClubEntry for the 2010 RBS RugbyForce makeover competition has now closed and with over 400 entries this year, 10 times more than in 2009, judging the winners was a difficult task.

With expert help from the RBS RugbyForce panel consisting of former Rugby legends Andy Nicol, Ieuan Evans and Jason Leonard along with BBC’s Ron Chakraborty and Paul Morgan from RugbyWorld the winning team from England, Wales and Scotland have now been announced.

The three winning clubs, will win an official club makeover on the RBS RugbyForce Weekend, 5th & 6th June 2010, which include the following:

  • Goods and resources up to the value of £5000 to be used towards the planned club improvement
  • An RBS RugbyForce Plaque
  • Food and drinks up to the value of £500 will be provided for all volunteers during RugbyForce weekend
  • 50 T-shirts for the workforce
  • Support Material to include posters and toolkits
  • £1,000 worth of Rhino Rugby kit and if your club owns a Rhino scrum machine, this will be eligible for a free service

The first 200 clubs who registered for the 2010 RBS RugbyForce competition will receive:

  • Goods and resources up to the value of £250 to be used towards the planned club improvements or food and drinks for the volunteers during your RugbyForce weekend
  • 50 T-shirts for your workforce
  • An RBS RugbyForce Plaque on completion of your RBS RugbyForce Weekend
  • An RBS RugbyForce Manual and Posters

 

It’s not too late should you wish to hold an RBS RugbyForce event at your club on the weekend of 5th and 6th June 2010, this is still possible. All you have to do is register your details here (just so we know that you are keen to be involved) and get planning!

 

Shortly, an RBS RugbyForce manual and other bits and pieces to help you in your planning will be posted online here, which will offer hints, tips and advice for sprucing up your club.

2009 saw a number of clubs across the England, Scotland and Wales undertaking a number of RBS RugbyForce projects, some examples of these include: 

  • Clean up and repaint the club’s social area – freshen up the paint, replace those old curtains and make it more inviting to club members of all ages
  • Update your changing rooms – replace those dripping taps and broken tiles
