Finn Russell was nominated for 2017 RBS 6 Nations Player of the Championship
At the conclusion of the 2017 RBS 6 Nations a total of 12 players have been shortlisted for the Player of the Championship award.
We've broken them down one by one looking at what they have achieved during the Championship.
Finn Russell (Scotland) Age: 24 Minutes played: 359 Tries scored: 1 Points scored: 42
Finn Russell pushed his British & Irish Lions claims with a string of impressive performances for Scotland as they finished the Vern Cotter era on a high with three wins from five.
Russell was man of the match in their victory over Wales and again in their final game against Italy, scoring a try in the 29-0 win while he also impressed from the kicking tee after taking over from injured skipper Greig Laidlaw.
He made 15 of 18 kicks at goal in all, and managed the game for Scotland alongside inexperienced half-back partner Ali Price following Laidlaw's injury.
Playing close to the gain line and unleashing his three-quarters, it was a breakthrough Championship for Russell, who started every game for Scotland for the first time - having made his RBS 6 Nations bow in 2015.
