Wales coach Mike Ruddock has delayed his team announcement by 24 hours for the RBS 6 Nations Championship clash against Scotland.
Ruddock had been due to reveal his hand on Tuesday, but the team now will not be unveiled until Wednesday lunchtime.
"Despite all three of the hookers (Mefin Davies, Robin McBryde and Steve Jones) in our squad coming through training unscathed (on Monday), we have decided to give ourselves an extra day's grace to assess the fitness of key individuals," said Ruddock.
"We want to ensure there is no deterioration or reaction with injuries to certain players in a couple of positions.
"And, especially with our match this week being played on a Sunday, it makes sense not to rush into selection, although all current indications are positive."
Wales flanker Sam Warburton admits he will be proud to lead his country out for a record 34th time this weekend and hopes to cap the day off with a memorable RBS 6 Nations victory against in-form Ireland.
