It was an encouraging display which saw winger Shane Williams help himself to a brace of tries and James Hook, replacing Stephen Jones at fly-half, kicking 14 points.
But the Ospreys star, who is battling captain Matthew Rees for a starting berth, revealed that the squad will not be allowed to sit back during the week off and are determined to build on the performance ahead of the upcoming clash with Italy.
"It's a happy camp coming off the back of a win," he said. "It takes a little bit of pressure off getting that losing streak out of the way and I think we're going to build on last week's performance.
"It's definitely not an easy week this week. We've had Monday and Tuesday off and we're looking to top up our conditioning this week.
"We're looking at all the positives in the game and improving on them. And we're looking at all the little negatives from the game, the discipline with the yellow cards and seeing where we can fix it to take it into the Italy game.
"It's always going to be difficult when the captain plays in your position so I'm just happy to get game time each week even if it's five or ten minutes."
