Munster lock Paul O'Connell has been named Irish Rugby Union Players' Player of the Year.
O'Connell has enjoyed a superb 12 months, winning the Triple Crown with Ireland and helping his club reach the European Cup final, scoring three tries en route to the latter.
The British & Irish Lions star was one of the outstanding players of the RBS 6 Nations, earning man-of-the-match honours in his country's opening 26-16 victory over Italy and the 15-9 success against Scotland.
The 26-year-old, 6ft 6in forward has won 31 caps for his country and was also voted into the RBS 6 Nations Team of the Tournament.
England flanker James Haskell insists he will be pushing as hard as possible to be back from a toe injury in time to make his case for a spot in Eddie Jones' side looking to defend their RBS 6 Nations title next year.
