It was a difficult campaign for Italy who failed to pick up a win, but Sergio Parisse was as excellent as ever, most notably in the opener against Wales.
He produced a moment of magic with a delightful no-look pass to set up the opening try for Edoardo Gori.
Despite the Azzurri's struggles he continued to be a threat, and he joins Maro Itoje and Owen Farrell as the only other player on the shortlist to have played every minute of the Championship.
His lone try came against France in Round Four as Italy got off to a flyer, popping up on Carlo Canna's shoulder to go over.
In his 13th edition of the RBS 6 Nations, Parisse led from the front for Italy and never stopped battling for Conor O'Shea's side.
