The Red Rose begin their summer tour of New Zealand in Auckland on Saturday June 7, with Haskell earning a recall to the squad after falling down the pecking order.
The 29-year-old featured in all five of England's 2013 RBS 6 Nations fixtures but missed the summer tour to Argentina through injury.
Following that he wasn't selected in the Elite Player Squad and subsequently missed the Autumn internationals and this year's RBS 6 Nations, where England finished a close second to Ireland.
Haskell hopes to make a return to the starting XV and believes his time spent playing for the Highlanders, as well as England's victory over the All Blacks at Twickenham in December 2012, has made everyone confident they can cause an upset.
"I think that I learnt that the All Blacks are human, which is always a good thing," Haskell told the Rugby Club. "It is always very easy when you spend a lot of time watching highlights on Sky of the Super 15 and internationals.
"They go as a blur and these guys [look] immortal, they are unbelievable and they are playing some sort of brand of rugby that we don't know how to do over here.
"When you are facing the haka and the whole culture it is very easy to get caught up in the headlights and I think a lot of these boys won't believe that because they have had these opportunities to play the All Blacks at Twickenham. They beat them once and pushed them very hard a second time."
