They slipped to a record 51-3 reverse to Wales in their final fixture however - their third defeat after back-to-back losses to Ireland and England to begin the RBS 6 Nations.
Scotland had Stuart Hogg sent off early in Cardiff but flanker Wilson isn't concerning himself with that defeat, instead focussing on the encouraging signs against Italy and France.
"Going down to 14 men so early was always going to make it difficult," Wilson, who featured in every one of Scotland's matches, told the Daily Record.
"The result was a slight step backwards but I don't think we will be worrying about that too much. The positives we took from the previous two matches against Italy and France were massive."
