However, England exacted their revenge at Twickenham on Sunday, beating Wales 29-18 to ensure they cannot clinch three straight RBS 6 Nations titles.
But, despite England's impressive showing, Warburton believes Ireland - currently top of the table on points' difference - are still favourites to win the Championship.
"That game, the 30-3 last year, was just one of those games where everything clicks for you," said the Welsh captain. "That happens once in a blue moon.
"That happened for us last year, but this year England deserved the win.
"It can go either way. I think that's what the great thing about this year's championship is. We've gone into the fourth game and nobody really knows who's going to win.
"Ireland, statistically, are probably favourites to win it, but I still think it's between three teams that can win it, which is great for the championship."
