Saracens second row Itoje continued his impressive recent try-scoring form and was joined on the scoresheet by flanker Gus Jones, who scored four, hooker Harry Thacker (2), Zach Kibirige, Alex Lundberg and scrum-half Henry Taylor.
Taylor got the nod as a late replacement for Callum Braley, who failed a late fitness test, meaning Itoke assumed the captaincy.
The previous meeting between the two sides was a tense affair in the Junior World Championship final while before that, England clinched an away victory to deny Wales the 2013 Under-20s Six Nations Grand Slam.
England were in unstoppable form in Newcastle however but France remain favourites for the title, having made it four wins out of four in Scotland.
Itoje and co travel to Italy meanwhile, in the hope that France slip up at home to Ireland and the second row is still determined to continue England's winning run.
"It was an easy job captaining the guys - the team is full of leaders, and although it was tough to lose Callum Braley close to kick-off, I thought that the guys performed amazingly well," said Itoje.
"The job now is to focus all of our attentions to Italy and make sure we back up this win with another strong performance over there."
