Meanwhile, Ireland's Alain Rolland will take charge of the Calcutta Cup clash between England and Scotland at Twickenham on the same day.
Rolland has been refereeing in the RBS 6 Nations for more than a decade, having made his first appearance in the tournament at Murrayfield in 2002 when France beat Scotland 22-10.

At Twickenham, he will be aided by assistant referee 1 Jerome Garces of France, assistant referee 2 Francisco Pastrana of Argentina and television match official Giulio De Santis of Italy.
And completing the appointments on the first weekend of the tournament is Wales' Nigel Owens, who will referee Italy's clash with France at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
Owens made his first RBS 6 Nations refereeing appearance in February 2007, taking charge of England's clash with Italy at Twickenham and the 41-year-old officiated at the 2007 and the 2011 World Cups.
In 2009 he became the first man to referee consecutive Heineken Cup finals, having also taken charge the year before.
In Rome, he will be aided by assistant referee 1 Wayne Barnes of England, fellow Welshman Leighton Hodges, who will serve as assistant referee 2 and television match official Gareth Simmonds - also of Wales.
