Unless they can pull together an overdue performance against Scotland in Paris at the weekend, they could end with their first Wooden Spoon since 1999.
Saint-Andre has added Stade Francais lock Alexandre Flanquart to his squad ahead of Saturday's game against Scotland, while he is sweating on the fitness of Yoann Maestri - the second-row will be unable to train until Friday.
"Yoann is uncertain until Thursday, but hopefully he will be 100 per cent for this weekend," said Saint-Andre.
"We have the reinforcement of the young Alexander Flanquart so we prepare for the final game in good condition.
"Luckily, there was no day Top 14 this weekend because it was damaging to the France team. I now have to choose between Yoann and a permanent replacement.
"It's time for Alexandre to win with us. He goes to work, learns and practices at the highest level. And Friday we'll decide for Yoann, but in any case Alexander will work with us all week. "
