Under previous England manager Martin Johnson; Foden was a near-ever present, while similarly he was one of the first names on Lancaster's team-sheet until injury struck before Christmas.
Brown and Goode struggled at the Millennium Stadium in the final weekend of the RBS 6 Nations as Wales hammered England to deny Lancaster a first Grand Slam.
And while a lack of international appearances recently looks set to rule Foden out of Lions selection this summer; it's winning back his England jersey that is firmly in the front of the Northampton utility back's mind.
"Obviously, for England to lose to Wales was very disappointing," Foden added.
"I still have to get back from this injury and prove myself playing for Saints, but I don't think I'm too far away from an England recall.
"Hopefully I can [help] get us into a semi-final and final of the Premiership and you can't argue with that sort of form. If I'm playing well then hopefully the re-selection will come."
