And with all eyes seemingly fixed on his brawnier teammates the Cardiff Blues full-back will be only too happy for the situation to be repeated at Twickenham.
"They are obviously marked men and opposing teams are putting more than one defender on the big men, which is great for me," Halfpenny told Wales Online.
"There is more space and if I can reap the rewards from the bigger guys carrying then that is great.
"It is massive for us that George has come through because he was immense against Ireland. He's a big, big player for us.
"It is all about working hard off the ball and being in the right areas at the right time.
"It is great to be surrounded by so many big and talented players. It gives you a bit of confidence as the small guy."
