Four players come in as McLaughlin tries to repeat last season's 37-25 victory, with Adam D'Arcy, Chris Henry, Dan Tuohy and Paddy McAllister replacing Ian Whitten, Simon Danielli, Ian Humphreys and Tom Court.
McLaughlin has called for a marked improvement from last week's display, but feels mental preparation will be vital in their quest for the win.
"We've only had a very short period of time to flush that out of our system as it's a quick turnaround from Sunday to Friday - and mentally we have to be bang on," said McLaughlin.
"We didn't play with the necessary composure in the second half against Biarritz and made error after error, giving away easy penalties and tries."
Scott Deasy will appear at full back in his first appearance of the season as under-strength Munster host Benetton Treviso this evening.
