Italian rugby legend Diego Dominguez will bid farewell to the sport in an All Star game on January 29.
Giancarlo Dondi, president of the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR), announced on Monday that Rome would stage the match to honour one of the nation's best all-time players.
The game will be played one week prior to the start of the 2005 RBS 6 Nations tournament and will see former fly-half Dominguez wear Azzurri colours for the last time.
The Argentina-born player, who made his Italy debut in 1991, retired from international rugby in 2001 but continued to play for French club Stade Francais before bringing an end to his playing career two years ago.
Wales' acting head coach Rob Howley has given Sam Davies and Rory Thornton a boost ahead of the RBS 6 Nations by naming the uncapped Ospreys duo in his largely experienced squad for the Autumn Internationals.
