That victory, coupled with their opening win in Wales, means Doyle’s troops sit at the top of the standings after two fixtures with a Scotland team who are yet to score a point awaiting.

But Doyle has warned against complacency, claiming that his side must reproduce the same performance at Lasswade.

“We are really looking forward to this weekend, it's all about meeting the standards we set out against England,” said Doyle.

“We have named the same team as we are looking for consistency now to our game.

"Our focus for this Six Nations campaign hasn't changed which is to qualify for the Women's Rugby World Cup and a win this weekend will bring us closer to that.

“Undoubtedly Scotland are formidable opponents. While results may not be going their way, they have strength that no other team has and we are certainly not underestimating them.”

Elsewhere, England host France looking to get the defence of their title back on track and hoping to preserve their unbeaten run at Twickenham.

France are one of England’s toughest rivals with Les Bleus last defeating England twice in 2011. More recently, England picked up a 23-13 scalp over France in October.

"The defeat [to Ireland] has certainly riled us up for playing France," said captain Sarah Hunter. "Whenever we play France it’s always a competitive and exciting match. We last played them in an autumn test which was a very hard fought game and took a whole team performance to get the win."

And Italy host Wales looking to continue their 100 per cent start to the competition, having followed up a surprise opening victory over France with an 8-0 win over Scotland.
