Having started France’s last six games Fritz appears to have cemented his spot with Les Bleus but ahead of Toulouse’s clash with the Ospreys in the European Cup, he is taking nothing for granted.

He said: “Going from the national team back to Toulouse, that’s the way it is and we are used to it now. Along with a few of my teammates I was lucky enough to wear the French jersey this autumn but we are pleased to be back with our club.

“We need to play as well as possible. You can’t forget that it’s performances for our club throughout the year which give us the opportunity to play for France. We have to play well and give everything for our club.

“The European Cup is a step up from the Top 14. We will have to raise our level of concentration for this game. When you look at last week’s game against Clermont we realise there is no margin for error. If we do make a mistake we will pay for it.”
