Saint-Andre not taking Pumas lightly

France coach Philippe Saint-Andre has warned against placing too much expectation on Frederic Michalak ahead of Les Bleus' clash with Argentina after the fly-half orchestrated a biggest win over Australia since 1976 last weekend.
Michalak was in superb form against the Wallabies, setting up Wesley Fofana’s second-half try as he continues his rebirth on the international stage, having been frozen out by previous coach Marc Lievremont.

But despite their thumping 33-6 win over Australia, Saint-Andre is refusing to take this weekend’s opponents, Argentina, lightly after the Pumas’ defeat to RBS 6 Nations Grand Slam champions Wales 26-12 and refused to focus on any individuals.

“The Argentines were pretty impressive in Cardiff,'' said Saint-Andre who has made just one change to his side with

Yoann Maestri returning to the second row in place of Jocelino Suta.

“They gave the Welsh a rugby lesson in the second half. They scored two textbook tries.

“It's down to us to play to our strengths, to show the same intensity and speed as we did last week. We did a lot of work on our reactivity, our speed, in Tuesday's training session, and we were more than pleasantly surprised.

“We went for continuity, we don't have much time (to prepare matches). We don't want to change the spine of the team for this crucial match. We tried to keep the same balance.

“You shouldn't put too much pressure on the fly-half position. I wanted to keep Michalak in the team. He played very well last week.”
