“Missing the Six Nations has happened twice now in very different circumstances,” Davies told Wales Online, referring to being handed a seven-week suspension during the 2012 RBS 6 Nations for a dangerous tackle on Ireland’s Donnacha Ryan.
“I have not had a good time and things seem to keep happening to me. I don’t get much luck but you just have to deal with things and take it on the chin.
“I have never taken anything for granted and there is a lot of second-row competition with Wales but I thought if I had a good Six Nations and impressed for the Blues, I could push for British & Irish Lions selection.
“That has not happened and I am just focused on getting back with the Blues and finishing the season.”
