Hunter unveils England Under-20 squad

New England Under-20 coach Rob Hunter unveiled his elite player squad for the 2010-11 season with a host of familiar names in the 32-man group.
Leicester fly-half George Ford is the son of England defence coach Mike while Saracens centre Owen Farrell is the son of cross-codes star Andy.

Full-back Jack Wallace hails from a rugby family which includes Ted Woodward who won 15 England caps in the 1950s while powerhouse Manu Tuilagi is the latest of the famous set of Tuilagi brothers who have played for Leicester.

The family connections don't stop there with brothers Billy and Mako Vunipola also included in the squad.

While the squad will get together at training camps throughout the autumn before getting their first taste of action in the Under-20 RBS 6 Nations in 2011.

And Hunter admits he can't wait to see his young charges in action.

"It's a very talented group, competition for places has been very high and there are some good players who missed out on a place in the 32 who will continue to push for inclusion. Within the squad there's a great blend of skill, pace and power and we can't wait to see them wearing the England jersey.

"It's an exciting time to be involved with a new management team and a new squad coming together. The England Under 18 team has set a standard of playing at pace in recent years and we are looking forward to building on that and the excellent work being done in the regional academies.

"The England age group programmes are a key part of developing future international players and the progress made by the likes of Courtney Lawes and Ben Youngs into the England senior team last season is testimony to that."
