Harinordoquy, 33, has 82 caps for his country and has already announced his plans to retire at the end of the season.
It was originally feared a collision in his last outing, a 27-19 defeat to Bayonne last month, could have brought a premature end to his swansong year.
But Biarritz have since moved to dispel the fears, meaning the Bayonne-born player could yet add to his caps tally against New Zealand, Tonga and South Africa this season, as well as next spring's RBS 6 Nations tournament.
"Imanol felt a pain in his knee regarding a collision he sustained in the last match," said the club in a statement.
"He has not trained this week with the group to help with his recuperation and the healing process. It is by no means a question of a premature end to the season for him.
"He is doing all that is necessary to heal the injury and join the group as soon as possible. Finally, Imanol wishes to reassure the supporters regarding his physical well being."
