Fall conscious of need for rapid recovery

France winger Benjamin Fall admits that he is still working his way back to full fitness after completing his first full match of the season last weekend.
The 23-year-old, who was part of France's Grand Slam-winning team in the 2010 RBS 6 Nations, started at full-back in the 16-12 loss to Montpellier, having made his first appearance off the bench the previous week.

And with Philippe Saint-André naming his squad for Les Bleus’ autumn internationals on Tuesday, Fall is well-aware of how quickly he needs to prove himself.

He said: “I feel good and I’m starting to get to where I want to be physically. I was a little short last weekend although I played the 80 minutes.

“I’m slowly getting used to being back in the team but last week I made a mistake which ended up costing us the match so I haven’t stopped thinking about that.

“It’s probably a little early for me with the squad announcement. But I’m not going to worry too much about it. I’ll give everything I have this weekend and do all I can.

“Between the squad announcement and the first match there is a whole month so there will be time to prove myself. And I know well the misfortune of some is the good fortune of others so we will see.”
