Lineen seeking higher performance

Glasgow coach Sean Lineen admits the Warriors have a tough job to live up to the raised expectations of their supporters this season.
The former Scotland centre guided his side to fifth in the Celtic League table last season thanks to a terrific finish to the campaign.

Lineen is realistic about their chances in the new term and simply hopes that the team's overall performances make progress.

"I just want to be better this season in everything we do," he said.

"We surpassed expectations of the public last season and we now must hold the belief to keep that going.

"I am not for a minute expecting us to win 29 games this season and win the European Cup. But I am expecting us to be pro-active in all we do and improve on our fifth place."
