Mike Catt has leant his support to Brian Smith in his bid to restore pride in England's back play.
Smith, who on Monday left his role as director of rugby at London Irish to become England attack coach, will work alongside defence guru Mike Ford and forwards coach John Wells.

World Cup winner Catt, a colleague of Smith’s at Bath and London Irish, believes that the 41-year-old will make an immediate impact.

"If Smithy goes in and coaches the way he knows how, the players will love his way of attacking." Catt told The Mirror.

"Every player will know what he has to do and how he has to do it. His attention to detail is incredible and he has no airs and graces."
