Following defeat to England Philippe Saint-Andre's France side remain winless this RBS 6 Nations
Saint-Andre: We were our own worst enemy

A high penalty count and individual mistakes were to blame for France's 23-13 RBS 6 Nations defeat to England at Twickenham according to Les Bleus coach Philippe Saint-André.
Despite shading the first half and putting in a much improved performances compared to their last two RBS 6 Nations outing, France only added three points after the interval as England stormed back.

In the opening stages France looked a different side to the team that lost 16-6 to Wales in Paris, with Morgan Parra and Francois Trinh-Duc restored at half-back and Wesley Fofana returning to the centre but they tired somehwat after the break.

It was returning centre Manu Tuilagi's try that did the damage, but Saint-André admits his side were thir own worse enemies.

"It was much better than the last two games, but again we have lost and we can't accept this,” said Saint-André.

“We made too many silly mistakes, we were penalised a lot and I don't know why so I need to watch the video.

"I need to congratulate England. They were very pragmatic - it was a tough game and very physical and in the end they have won three games and we have lost three games.

"The last 20 minutes we missed too many chances - we had scrums and lineouts in their 22 and we made mistakes.

"It's a shame, but we have a lot of young guys who were playing at Twickenham for the first time and it's important for us to build the squad for the next Rugby World Cup.”
