Scotland centre Nick De Luca has been ruled out of Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash with England at Murrayfield.
De Luca sprained his right ankle during Edinburgh’s league draw with Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade at the weekend.
Scotland doctor James Robson said: “The injury is not as bad as first feared but Nick is unavailable for selection for this weekend and will continue his rehabilitation under the care of the Edinburgh medical staff.”
Lock forwards Nathan Hines and Scott MacLeod were also unable to train on Monday with knee and shoulder injuries respectively.
Dr Robson added: “Nathan is not taking any part in training today but he should be able to return tomorrow.
“Scott is still receiving treatment from the injury he sustained against Ireland and further discussions will take place tonight and tomorrow (Tuesday) to determine whether he is available for selection.”
Two locks were added to the squad for training on Monday - Scotland’s most capped player, Scott Murray, and Edinburgh’s Craig Hamilton.
