Centre Nick De Luca will miss Saturday's RBS 6 Nations Championship clash against England at Murrayfield due to injury.
De Luca sprained his right ankle in Edinburgh’s Magners League draw with Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade at the weekend. Scotland doctor James Robson said: “The injury is not as bad as first feared but Nick is unavailable for selection for this weekend and will continue his rehabilitation under the care of the Edinburgh medical staff.”
Two other players were unable to train today – lock forwards Nathan Hines (knee) and Scott MacLeod (shoulder).
Dr Robson added: “Nathan is not taking any part in training today but he should be able to return tomorrow. Scott is still receiving treatment from the injury he sustained against Ireland and further discussions will take place tonight and tomorrow to determine whether he is available for selection.”
Two locks were added to the squad for training today – Scotland’s most capped player, Scott Murray and Edinburgh’s Craig Hamilton.
