Captain Jason White was among three members of the Scotland squad who sat out training on Monday.
The Sale Sharks forward suffered a head injury in Saturday’s 30-15 defeat by Wales which forced him off after half an hour.
Fellow forwards Nathan Hines (chest infection) and Jim Hamilton (shoulder) also missed the session.
Winger Simon Webster has still to return to full training after pulling out of the team with a hamstring injury on the eve of the Millennium Stadium clash.
White will be assessed daily and his condition is improving with almost two weeks to go before Scotland play Ireland in Dublin.
Scotland team doctor James Robson said: “Jason will continue to be assessed on a daily basis but he will require being free of any dizziness after exercise before conclusive tests can be conducted to determine when he can resume rugby.”
In addition to the 22 players on duty in Cardiff, Webster and Edinburgh team-mates Dave Callam and Calum MacRae were invited to the match debrief and today’s training session.
