The game tactics are also going to be different - maybe more efficient than before - and new players are about to make their international debut. François Trinh-Duc is one of them and will be given the tough task to lead the game for the team. Some might think this is risky but on the other hand Lièvremont has the very experienced Skrela on the bench at his disposal. Trinh-Duc will also be paired with other experienced player Jean-Baptiste Elissalde in the half-back pack.

It is true however that to start off an international career against Scotland in the first clash of the RBS 6 Nations might not be the easiest way, but you have to start one day. This is also the coaches' responsibility to take risks. We'll see after the game whether it was a good decision or not. What surprised me however is the absence of Julien Bonnaire in the starting line-up. The flanker is very good in the aerial game and the touchline, a bit like Imanol Harinodoquy.

As far as the Scots are concerned, we'd better be very careful. I've also heard also that it was snowing in Edinburgh. Even if the French start as favourites, the game will be tight and I hope we won't lose against them as we did two years ago. Scotland have dangerous players such as young talent De Luca. 

We will have to be organised. We've only had one week to prepare and Lièvremont is in the process of establishing a new game system but this French team is eager to do well and prove its huge potential. Even if its game shows faults on Sunday, the key will be not to be scared, be courageous and take risks.
