England squad update

Paul Sackey (London Wasps) did not join up with the England squad for today's Twickenham training session because of a suspected case of mumps.

The England management team are working with their London Wasps counterparts and the local Health Protection Agency to confirm the diagnosis.

Simon Shaw (London Wasps) had an MRI scan on his injured left ankle today and will continue his rehabilitation with the England and London Wasps medical teams.

Peter Richards (London Irish) today saw a specialist regarding a bicep injury he sustained against Benetton Treviso on Saturday and we are awaiting the result of that opinion.

Luke Narraway (Gloucester Rugby), Michael Lipman (Bath Rugby) and Paul Hodgson (London Irish) all trained with the England squad this afternoon.
