Kellock rues missed chance
19 January 2008, 2:43 pm
By Tim Sanderson
Glasgow captain Ally Kellock believes his side missed a glorious opportunity against Saracens to advance to the last eight of the European Cup.
The Warriors bowed out of Europe's premier competition after going down 21-17 to the Premiership outfit at Firhill.

Richard Haughton's quick thinking saw him beat a ponderous Hefin O'Hare to touch down for the visitors early on but the boot of Scotland stand-off Dan Parks kept Glasgow in the match.

His counterpart Glen Jackson snatched a breakway try to give the English side a significant cushion and although Bernardo Stortoni crossed for Sean Lineen's men it was too little too late.

Scotland lock Kellock believes Sarries are good enough to win the competiton but still lamented errors and a lack of precision from his side.

He said: "In terms of application I could not have asked any more but we let ourselves down when it came to making mistakes and executing certain decisons."
