Scott Murray
Scott Murray
Murray back for Scotland
14 January 2008, 12:36 pm
By Tim Sanderson
Scott Murray was among four players called into Monday's Scotland training session after injuries struck head coach Frank Hadden's preparations for the RBS 6 Nations campaign.
The record cap holder was missing from the 35-man squad when it was announced last week but the reprieve gives the Montauban lock hope of adding to his 87 appearances.

Three other forwards were added to the Murrayfield training session - Edinburgh prop Craig Smith, Llanelli’s Bruce Douglas and Glasgow hooker Dougie Hall.

The quartet replaced four injured players - Euan Murray (calf), Jim Hamilton (ankle), Dave Callam (shoulder/neck) and Kelly Brown (shoulder).

Llanelli’s Scott MacLeod also played a limited part in the session after playing for the Scarlets yesterday in their 40-7 Heineken Cup defeat by Wasps.

And Nathan Hines was not present as he and his wife Leanne are undergoing fertility treatment.
