Italy turn to de Marigny
7 September 2007, 5:47 pm
Italy coach Pierre Berbizier has named Roland de Marigny at fly-half for his side’s Pool C match against New Zealand at Marseille’s Stade Velodrome on Saturday.
De Marigny, a former Leeds Tykes player, played at full-back in this year’s RBS 6 Nations Championship but will start at number 10 against the All Blacks.

The Azzurri are at full strength among the forwards while in the backs, Gonzalo Canale is left on the bench with Andrea Masi preferred at centre alongside Mirco Bergamasco.

New Zealand-born Kaine Robertson starts on the wing and will come up against All Blacks wide man Doug Howlett, a school friend during their time in Auckland.

After New Zealand, Italy face games against Romania and Portugal before a probable qualification decider against Scotland on September 29.
