Berbizier sticks with experience
7 August 2007, 9:21 pm
Italy coach Pierre Berbizier has named an experienced 30-man team for the World Cup in France, with the only uncapped addition being Fijian-born loose forward Manoa Vosawai.
The 23-year-old Overmach Cariparma player was named after receiving international clearance from the IRB and joins a squad which includes four players with over 50 caps in captain Marco Bortolami, Alessandro Troncon, Mauro Bergamasco and Andrea lo Cicero.

The rest of the players boast at least four caps to their names, while David Bortolussi, Marko Stanojevic and Pablo Canavosio return after missing out on the RBS Six Nations earlier this year.

Berbizier's side take on Japan at the Saint Vincent Perruca Stadium on August 18, before wrapping up their preparations for France with a visit to Ravenhill to take on Ireland on August 24.

The Italians have been drawn in Group C of the World Cup and face New Zealand, Romania, Portugal and a probable knock-out match against Scotland in Saint Etienne on September 29.
