Former SRU president Robson dies
16 March 2007, 5:20 pm
Former Scottish Rugby Union president Adam Robson has died at the age of 78.
Robson, who also won 22 caps as a wing forward between 1954 and 1960, played club rugby for Dalkeith and Hawick and also appeared for the Barbarians.

He was appointed vice-president of the SRU in 1982-83 and took over as president in 1983-84, a season in which Scotland won their first Five Nations Grand Slam for 59 years.

Former Hawick and Scotland team-mate Hughie McLeod said: Adam was very much the gentleman wing-forward he did all the clever stuff and formed a terrific blend with the Grants, Oliver and Derrick, in the Hawick back row.
