Wales coach Gareth Jenkins has pleaded with Welsh fans to keep the faith despite his side suffering back-to-back RBS 6 Nations defeats to Scotland and Ireland.
In nearly three hours of rugby Wales have failed to score a try in the 21-9 and 19-9 reverses to the Scots and the Irish with France to follow in Paris on Saturday week.
It leaves Jenkins clinging on to a relatively-modest record as Welsh coach since taking over at the end of last season but he remains committed to the cause.
I understand the frustration and nobody understands that more than me, he insisted.
But its not all about a quick fix. Its about time and investment. Its about growing and developing thats all I can control are those factors.
I have to live with the scrutiny of being Welsh coach. I am accountable and Im here to make it clear what we intend to do about it.
There have been calls for Stephen Jones to be removed as skipper but Jenkins said: My view is the captaincy is not affecting his game. People can suggest that because we are not playing fluently.
When you are not winning you are vulnerable to opinion and rightly so. Stephen and myself know we can expect hard questions and uncompromising views. We understand that.
If Stephen isnt playing at 10 - thats my choice. It isnt a guaranteed selection between now and the World Cup for Stephen in every game and he knows that.
But he is good enough to actually be in this side at the present time and he is good enough to be captain at the present time.
I stand by that and I stand with him, but it is not a guarantee that gives him a right to the jersey either.
Jenkins believed his sides inept showing at Murrayfield was the failure of his sides line-out.
We have a clear vision but we have to share the percentage of possession. There lies our challenge over the next two weeks, he added.
We just did not have enough possession to create opportunities. We were overwhelmed by a huge Scotland effort in that first half-hour. We hardly touched the ball.
Scotland had 100% line-out efficiency and ours was down to 65% unfortunately.
We know to be competitive we have to have a 90% efficiency and we are a long way from that at the moment. That is a concern.
